Monica Rosauri is a visual artist who lives and works in Tiohtià:ke / Montréal, Québec, Canada. Monica holds a BFA of Studio Arts in Photography from Concordia University. Her practice relies on the desire to understand the family dynamic specifically through her female bloodline and reflects on auto-fictive concepts such as personal perception of childhood memory and time. Inspired by a quote in Chantal Akerman's 2013 book My Mother Laughs, her most recent photographic series "I had The Impression Everything Was My Fault", 2023, examines the preservation of both the intangible and tangible of time, and is a serenade to the guilt in aging. She is currently working as Exhibition Manager for Studio PHI's external immersive experiences.
